I had always wanted to know why some people in the construction industry progressed much faster than others, had so much impact and influence to shape projects and how they went on to progressively earn more and more year on year.
Over a 7 year period I took notes throughout my time in the construction industry and documented a lot of what I had observed.
During those 7 years, I worked as a Quantity Surveyor on both civil and building projects, had some time as an estimator, became Commercial Lead, passed my RICS Chartership, started a Young Professionals Group and worked directly with the CEO of a top 10 global construction company.
